Under the hood

Every dish, menu, offer, drink and wine has a fingerprint of its meaning; every dish and bottle photo has one too. They share the same space, so words find pictures and pictures find words.
Concepts are worked out from ingredients and allergens when the menu is indexed: a dish with only plant ingredients is vegan even if the menu never says so. Wellness groups (light, energy, protein) are set by the kitchen.
Your request is compared with the concepts first: “qualcosa di leggero” or “proteinreich” switch on the matching group, then the dishes are ranked by meaning.
Photos: a picture of a dish or of a bottle is compared with the photos of the menu and of the wine list. Exact words still count, so a producer such as “Ruggeri” or a dish like “bigoli” is found directly.
Dish descriptions come from the restaurant’s Italian menu; the six garden dishes were added for this demo and have no photo.
